The empire was founded by his parents, John and Merivale Hemmes, as a fashion house before branching into the hospitality industry, where it now boasts over 90 brands.

According to local real estate sources, Hemmes purchased a four-bedroom beach shack on Friday, adding to his already impressive property portfolio in the area. This purchase comes after he acquired two beachfront houses on Belongil Beach for $22 million and $16 million in 2021, and another property on the same stretch for $3.75 million last November.

Interestingly, he will be neighbors with The Block judge Darren Palmer and his husband, Olivier Duvillard, who own a $4.2 million cottage nearby.
