Last year, they launched four new flavors: Boysenberry, Dulce de Leche, White Chocolate & Cookies, and Cookie Crunch, which have proven to be a hit.
But here's where it gets controversial... The company also acknowledged the Aussie love for caramel, leaving fans wondering if the Caramel Ego will make a comeback. The Magnum Caramel Ego, first released in Australia in 1998, is a vanilla ice cream masterpiece with a layer of caramel sauce and a thick milk chocolate coating. Its launch was accompanied by a clever ad, depicting a scene in the Garden of Eden, where a woman chooses the "wickedly good" Magnum over an apple offered by a devilish figure. The voiceover declares that "temptation has a new name."
The Magnum Classic, developed 35 years ago in Denmark, has become a household name in Australia, thanks to its unique and indulgent ingredients. The iconic "crack" sound when biting into the thick chocolate coating has become a signature feature, with celebrities like Liz Hurley and Eva Longoria showcasing the Magnum "crack" in their ads.
And this is the part most people miss... The Magnum Caramel Ego was not the first flavor to grace our taste buds. It was preceded by the popular Magnum Almond and Magnum White, both released in 1992. Since then, the Magnum family has expanded with flavors like Peppermint, Honeycomb Crunch, Passionfruit White Chocolate, and Boysenberry.
